When you dual-boot your SUSE/openSUSE linux with Windows XP or Windows Vista and I’m sure Windows 2003 or Windows 2008, Wireless Adapter may not work. You may be to see Wireless adapter but not able to start and connect using the wireless adapter. This could be caused by Power Management settings in Windows XP.
