MozCache is a free opensource utility to viewing, search, save and delete cache files of Mozilla, Firefox, SeaMonkey and Netscape web browsers. Running with Cygwin the MS Internet Explorer is also supported.
Install MozCache in openSUSE
To install MozCache, click this 1-click installer from Packman supported on openSUSE 11.1/11.0/10.3
This should download the YMP file and automatically launch the YaST package manager to add the required Repositories and download and install MozCache and theĀ dependencies. Click next on the MozCache installation screen and Next again on the installation proposal window. This should start adding the required repositories, download and install MozCache and its required dependencies. Click Finish when the installation completes successfully.
This should install MozCache under “Applications – Internet – Web Browser”. Click MozCache to launch the utility and view the browser cache.
For Firefox browser, the Cache Index file is under
/home/<user>/.mozilla/firefox/<randomdir.default>/Cache/
For instance on my system it is under
/home/saihari/.mozilla/firefox/lag760ed.default/Cache/
MozCache by default looks for the Cache under /home/<user>/.mozilla/ and may throw errors.
You can view the cache by default as a ree or a sorted list of files.
