It isn’t more than a month that we had openSUSE 11.0 was released to the public and we are still playing around but the team at openSUSE are already looking at the next release. Yes, openSUSE project has released the roadmap for openSUSE 11.1. I have to say there has been quite a bit of debate about the 6month schedule and from what I can see this isn’t popular with many but this I think is a good idea so the releases can have all or most of the bugs and issues found through the course is cleared.
The release will be for x86, x86-64, ppc platforms
The features or rather enhancements include,
GNOME 2.24
KDE: KDE 4.1.1 (optionally also KDE 3.5.10)
OpenOffice.org 3.0
Continued improvement in the software update stack
Linux kernel 2.6.27 (or later)
